"707"...7 days away

I have not updated recently, but that is not an accident. I have a lot to get ready for this trip to happen. Believe it or not the discipline to train for this trip is getting easier-and-easier.

I have only 7 days before I take my cycling trip from Madison, Wisconsin to Searcy, Arkansas. I have been training hard, around 40 miles/day, and making sure that all my gear is ready to go. I also have started a new diet. I know this sounds weird, but to increase my nutrient, vitamin and mineral intake efficiently I have some dietary restrictions; only fruits, vegetables, whole wheats, lean (very lean) protein and vitamins should be consumed while I get my self prepared for the journey. Though with the amount of training I do, and needing to replace what I have lost, I consume around 6,000 calories/day.

I do not know what the weather is going to be like, I only have one other spot to find a place to stay (Chester, IL). God has been good to help me along the journey already. I have not, and I do not know who all has totally depended on God to provide each and everyday without worrying what is going to happen (yet we say the Lord's pray as if we have been in those situations like Jesus has). Some have been in these situations, and I give them much respect.*

I will be stopping in Sterling, Illinois with a friend and his family on August 11th. Then I will head to Pekin, IL on Aug. 12th. I will leave Pekin to make it to Carlinville, IL to stay with a member of the church and his family Aug 13th. After those 3 days I will stop in Chester, IL (Aug.14) and Bernie, MO (Aug 15). Then on my last stop, Aug 16, with a member of the congregation and his family in Trumann, AR. Once I have made it this far I will be trying my hardest to get to Searcy as fast as my legs can take me to get back on Friday August 17th to have a nice big meal!

Have a great weeked, and I will continue to pray for "707" and again I hope that you will too!

In Faith,

Joshua
Psa 36:9

*This is not a test for our Lord (for He shall not be tested), but a test for me physically more than anything.
